Business communication is an essential skill to master in today’s business environment. This course will touch on the various aspects needed to communicate for success as it provides an overall understanding of communication in a business context.

To communicate means to share information and includes verbal, non-verbal and electronic means of human interaction. For communication to be meaningful it must include both transfer of meaning and understanding. Communications professionals often see themselves as indispensable in the business world, though ironically most businesses tend to view communications as something that is a ‘nice to have’. This disconnect has changed with the recent global events impacting on many employees working remotely and who are subjected to email fatigue. During this time, the ability to communicate briefly, clearly and accurately to get a message across to colleagues and clients cannot be overemphasized.

This course deals with a wide range of communication aspects, directed at enhancing communication between individuals by providing brief explanations and practical examples. At the end of the e-learning, the learner will have a toolbox of techniques to guide and assist in refining communication going forward.
